Q: How do you comply with HIPAA?

    A: We comply with every hospital and practice HIPAA policy. In addition, ScribeAmerica created its own "HIPAA For Scribes" training videos and tests which are focused specifically on scribes and the access they have.

    A: No, they do not. However, they can apply frequent codes that a practice uses based on the practice dictation.

    A: Depending on the size of the program it can vary between 1-4 months

Q: How does the ramp-up of shift coverage work? How do you determine which shifts are covered first?

    A: We begin with your busiest shifts and add based on priority and as determined by your medical director or practice administrator.

Q: How do you go about training?

    A: Each medical scribe receives a minimum of 120 hours of training that includes online, classroom and clinical instruction and testing.

Q: What delays could occur during implementation?

    A: Delays can occur if official hospital or administrative approval has not been provided, or if human resources and information technology have not been adequately informed or prepared. ScribeAmerica guides its clients and communicates directly with appropriate personnel prior to implementation in order to avoid any delays.

    A: They can pend orders but cannot enter them to be executable by nursing or other healthcare staff
