What Are The Core Functions Of A TeleScribe?

The central role of the Medical TeleScribe is to relieve the physician of documentation duties, which allows the physician to focus more directly on patient care.

  • Under the direction of the physician, TeleScribes observe the physician during patient encounters and performs documentation on the physician’s behalf.
  • At the physician’s request, the TeleScribe must be able to locate past medical records, prior lab/radiology results, or past visit histories for the physician to review.
  • Not a pre-med major? No problem! We actively recruit candidates from the following areas of study: Art, Music, Health Admin, English, Writing, History, Psychology, Sociology, Engineering and more!
  • Ideal candidates must have strong listening skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
