Recruitment

Through our sophisticated and proprietary national recruitment resources, our experienced project leaders will identify and hire the most qualified personnel possible in your unique region of the country. Though some regions might be impossible for other companies, our status as the industry leader makes us the most desirable choice for medical scribes in every market in the country. This allows us the luxury of selecting only the best applicants, and graduating only those who meet our highest standards for excellence in professional medical documentation.

Scribe Training

Over the years, patient, physician and medical scribe feedback have shaped the process by which ScribeAmerica trains prospective medical scribes. By offering a competitive salary and unique medical experience, a job at ScribeAmerica is very appealing to local pre-medical college students and recent graduates. The medical scribe training program consists of 3 steps: Step 1 is a 2-week orientation course designed to get the scribe "up to speed" for his first day of collaboration with the outpatient provider. Step 2 is supervisory period during which a highly experienced medical scribe offers immediate review and feedback of the new medical scribe's work. Step 3 is a periodic re-assessment that allows for indefinite and frequent review of the medical scribe's role and effectiveness in an effort to enable the scribe to always keep up-to-date with a dynamic workplace environment.

Implementation

Depending on the initial size of the program, implementations are typically complete in 1-4 months. Once training is complete, every scribe will have a 90-day probation period when your group as well as ScribeAmerica can evaluate these individuals to ensure success.

Monthly or bi-monthly meetings will follow to keep the workforce up to date with changes in the practice. You may have as much or as little participation as desired. Positive or negative comments and suggestions can be addressed directly to a ScribeAmerica officer. This is done to ensure your complete satisfaction. We have found that this type of reinforcement avoids any expectation that the hospitalist is somehow responsible for managing their scribes. You've hired us to do the leg-work; you can enjoy all the benefits of a professionally managed medical scribe program without any of the headache of managing your own scribe staff.
