The Standard in professional scribe training and management

2017 Year in Review

OUR YEAR IN REVIEW

2017 was a banner year for the HealthChannels suite of companies, dedicated to addressing the demands of modern healthcare. Introduced in 2016, HealthChannels functions as the parent company to ScribeAmerica, QueueLogix and CareThrough, offering groundbreaking software and people power to streamline revenue-cycles and optimize care coordination.

Since its formation, HealthChannels has delivered a highly-skilled, integrated workforce to alleviate over eighty percent of provider’s ancillary burden. 2017 was our first full year of operations with the new organizational structure, and one we are proud to report was a success.

Weathering The Storms

The hurricanes and wildfires of 2017 challenged health systems across the nation, and our committed scribes and care teams were on the frontlines, delivering the quality service you’ve come to trust.

Before, during, and after the tragedies, scribes provided crucial support to one another with food drives and donations. In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, our Kalamazoo, Michigan team collected supplies to fill a truck heading to Texas. And the Houston team designed a Houston Strong T-shirt to raise funds for affected team members. One scribe wrote about her experience in the Emergency Department when Harvey made landfall.

As Florida declared a state of emergency, the extreme weather hit close to home. Several of our Headquarters staff in Fort Lauderdale were displaced, yet continued to remain available for clients and team members. We’re proud of the outpouring of support and dedication to service that was shown. Compassion is truly a value embedded in our company culture.

Raising Awareness of our Veterans Through Golf

ForeTheBrave Charity Pro-Am Golf Tournament

We have continued to focus the HealthChannel’s charitable giving on veterans and their families who are in dire need of support. As a former Army Ranger, our CEO Dr. Michael Murphy is attuned to the unique needs of veterans. More and more service members are returning from long deployments, and now is the time to provide resources to assist the transition to civilian life.

Dr. Murphy is also an avid golfer and many of our partners are too. We are always looking for an opportunity to improve our game. Our Fore the Brave Golf Tournament taking place on February 5th, at the Lake Nona championship course in Orlando is an opportunity to serve military veterans, and play a meaningful round of golf.

Since 2015 we’ve hosted a charity golf-tournament and last year we raised over $187,000. All of the proceeds were donated to respected veteran-focused organizations. This year’s non-profit recipients include the Army Ranger Lead the Way Fund, Folds of Honor, and Wounded Veterans Relief Fund

We look forward to honoring the sacrifices of veterans and their families, and hope you will join us in Orlando. In the meantime, our relationship to the game of golf continues throughout the year as LPGA and PGA brand ambassadors represent HealthChannels on tour. We developed a fun “Birdies for Heroes” initiative with LPGA pro Jaye Marie Green. ScribeAmerica team members pledged $1 for every birdie she hit on a Sunday, and we matched the donations, raising critical funds for veterans.

This year we are geared up to surpass last year’s gifts. With your help we know we will meet our goal. To find out more visit www.forethebravegolf.com.
